MovieMartyr.com - 2001 movies that should have won the Oscar

This is not a predictor of what will get Oscar nominations or anything, but rather an ongoing list that I keep so I don't forget a film that had great sound effects editing that came out in January when I want to bitch that the Academy overlooked it. I make up this list as I go along in the year. There's more than five entries for most categories since I don't delete stuff as I go. I realize a lot of the films here are too esoteric to be considered for Academy consideration, but I happen to think the idea of giving Russell Crowe a Best Actor award for Gladiator is pretty damn esoteric. I listed some categories that the Academy inexplicably doesn't have (e.g. Best Ensemble). Everything's listed after the respective category in order of preference.
